Based on Hirchi’s social bond theory, this quantitative study explores the factors leading to school juvenile delinquency, as well as social and cultural factors causing the unique phenomena of juvenile delinquency in Mainland China, and discusses the applicability of social bond theory in Mainland China. The data are collected from Family Education and Juvenile Delinquency, a project funded by University of Macau, with a sample of 3,401. This study finds that social bond theory can be well applied to explain the causes of juvenile delinquency in Mainland China. Its explanatory capacity on junior delinquency is stronger than that on senior ones, and on minor delinquency is stronger than that on severe ones. Attachment, commitment, involvement, belief and supervision from parents can all restrain delinquency. Furthermore, peer influence is an important cause of delinquency. Boys tend to commit more delinquent behaviors than girls and juvenile are likely commit delinquent behaviors as they grow older. Attachment better restrains boys and seniors from delinquency. Adolescents whose parents have committed crimes tend to be more delinquent and belief plays a vital role in restraining them from delinquency. Some suggestions on the prevention of juvenile delinquency have been proposed from the prospective of social bond theory

本量化研究以赫希社會紐帶理論為指導，探討影響中國內地在學青少年越 軌行為因素、中國社會文化與社會因素中影響青少年越軌行為獨特現象及社會 紐帶理論的適用性。研究數據來自澳門大學資助之《家庭教養與青少年越軌行 為》研究項目，樣本共 3041 人。研究發現，社會紐帶理論可用於解釋青少年越 軌行為原因，對初中生越軌行為解釋力大於高中生，對輕微越軌行為解釋力大 於嚴重越軌行為；依附、承諾、參與、信念、父母監督均能抑制越軌行為；同 伴影響是越軌行為重要誘因；男生比女生有更多越軌行為，依附對男生越軌行 為抑制作用更大；年齡越大者有更多越軌行為，依附對高中生越軌行為抑制作 用更大；父母有違法犯罪歷史者有更多越軌行為，信念對父母有違法犯罪歷史 者越軌行為抑制作用更大。文中還提出與社會紐帶理論相關預防青少年越軌行 為政策建議。
