Abstract
Abstract : Many companies have not achieved success in ERP implementation. Researchers have identified that many organizations have experienced enormous challenges in the course of implementation and some suffered from disastrous ERP projects. Thus, it is necessary to perform an assessment pre-implementation of ERP during the planning phase to identify the firm's current state of readiness for implementation ERP and aim to give ERP project managers to grasp a comprehensive understanding of ERP project vulnerability and help them to strengthen areas of weakness which may lead to project failure prior to project implementation. In this study, a new look at the determinants of organizational readiness to implement an ERP project is presented and using an analytic network process a practical framework, tool for testing the firm's current state of readiness are developed. The firm's current state of readiness regarding an ERP project can be determined and necessary changes prior to implementation of ERP system can be specified. The assessment factors are identified after comprehensive study of critical success factors on ERP implementation. The proposed framework and the tool is applied and tested in a real case in Yemen and the advantages are illustrated. Paragragh Headings: 1. Introduction 2. Problem statement 3.
