Abstract
Abstract : Procrastination becomes a general concern in the contemporary society, where almost everyone commits to a certain level of procrastination in their daily work or life. Yet the knowledge system about procrastination remains incomplete and open to new evidence and theroetical perspectives. This study investigated the phenomena of college student's procrastination behaviors. Specifically, it adopts the theory of stress coping to develop the research model, indicating that perceived stress is the critical predictor of such avoiding or delaying behaviors. In addition, a motivation theory helps to identify the individual difference that affects this strss-procrastination relationship, which is student's goal orientation. Data from Critique Interview Techniques with eight college students and survey among 203 college students were collected and analyzed. Results and findings show support to the proposed model and hypotheses. Theoretical as well as practical implications were discussed accordingly. Paragraph Headings: 1. Introduction 2.
