- Abstract
- Objective : To discuss the clinic features and management of the idiopathic gastric perforation (IGP) of the new born. Methods The birth status, clinical manifestation, complementary examination, rescuing process of a premature and low body weighted 2 day-old neonate with IGP who underwent operation treatment were analyzed retrospectively. Results IGP in this premature and low body weighted 2 day-old neonate got recovery finally due to early diagnosis and proper treatment, despite with many severe complications before operation. Conclusion IGP of the new born is rare and continues to be associated with high mortality rate. It might be very difficult to rescue this kind of cases due to its unknown etiology and pathogenesis.
