Analysis of components in water extract of ten valued traditional Chinese medicines using liquid chromatography system with multiple columns and detectors
English Abstract
In this study, multiple column liquid chromatography (LC) systems were developed for analysis of global components in traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs). The newly developed LC system with multiple column and multiple detectors was successfully applied to analyze global components in ten valued TCMs (Ginseng Folium, Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma Rubra, Panacis Quinquefolii Radix, Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma, Cordyceps, Cervi Cornu Pantotrichum, Cervi Cornu, Ganoderma and Dendrobii Caulis). As a result, 1 macromolecule was found and 36 small molecules were identified in Ginseng Folium. 3 macromolecules were found and 30 small molecules were identified in Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma. 3 macromolecules were found and 26 small molecules were identified in Ginseng Radix et Rhizoma Rubra. 3 macromolecules were found and 27 small molecules were identified in Notoginseng Radix et Rhizoma. 3 macromolecules were found and 28 small molecules were identified in Panacis Quinquefolii Radix. 2 macromolecules were found and 12 small molecules were identified in natural Cordyceps. 1 macromolecule was found and 10 small molecules were identified in cultural Cordyceps. 2 macromolecules were found and 9 small molecules were identified in Cervi Cornu Pantotrichum. 1 macromolecule was found and 8 small molecules were identified in Cervi Cornu. 1 macromolecule was found and 31 small molecules were found in Ganoderma lucidum. 1 macromolecule was found and 13 small molecules were identified in Ganoderma sinense. 2 macromolecules were found and 12 small molecules were identified in Dendrobium nobile. 2 macromolecules were found and 10 small molecules were identified in Dendrobium offcinale. 3 macromolecules were found and 16 small molecules were identified in Dendrobium thyrsiflorum. 3 macromolecules were found and 9 small iv molecules were identified in Dendrobium fimbriatum. In total, 67 compounds (7 in Panax ginseng, 4 in Panax notogiseng, 8 in Panax quinquefolium, 1 in Cordyceps sinesis, 4 in Cervi Cornu Pantotrichum and Cervi Cornu, 5 in Ganoderma lucidum, 4 in Ganoderma sinense, 9 in Dendrobium nobile, 7 in Dendrobium offcinale, 9 in Dendrobium fimbriatum, 9 in Dendrobium thyrsiflorum) were firstly identified. The developed LC system is a comprehensive quality control method of TCMs
