Abstract This study seeks to explore factors influencing the programme choice of freshmen with different background at the University of Macau. As a start, this study is intended to serve as a reference for the University of Macau and other higher education institutions. College choice models and factors affecting choice of domesticand foreign study programme proposed by three scholars are integrated and summarized in this study, the research sample is the freshmen of the University of Macau in academic year 2015/2016.The result shows that the most important factors for DADE freshmen are personal interest, career prospect, the major helps you to gain professional license, salaries after graduation, individual ability, university reputation, graduate's development, etc. Furthermore, all factors are categorized into seven domains to analyze if theyvary between and correlate with freshmen's background variables. 摘要 本研究旨在探討澳門大學不同背景大一新生選擇科系影響因素之研究。冀此研究作一開端，以供澳門大學及其他高校參考。本研究綜合三位學者的選校模式及歸納國內外的選科系因素，研究對象為澳門大學2015/2016學年大一新生。研究結果顯示學生最重視的因素依次包括個人興趣、工作前景、此課程助您取得專業資格、畢業後的工資、個人能力、大學聲譽、畢業生的發展等。此外，各種影響因素歸納成七個層面來分析其與受訪學生背景變項有否差異及相關。 關鍵詞：科系選擇因素；澳門高校；大一新生
