Immigration from Asian countries to Macau is an intense phenomenon that is dramatically transforming the composition of population and the panorama of the immigration in Macau. This research aims to reflect on the immigration community from East-Timor in Macau, the problem of integration, particularly from the point of view of language and its integration to the linguistic level, with main emphasis on knowledge of the host language. To achieve this objective, the present study was based on a questionnaire survey for East-Timor immigrants, which describes the principal social and linguistic characteristics of this community and linguistic aspects of its integration in the Macau society.
