People of different groups and cultures think differently about a similar concept. This phenomenon occurs possibly due to the different natural and nurturing environments. The cultural difference of a group can be figured out by the language they speak. Therefore, language and thought are interrelated. Sometimes how we think about an object depends upon, or is varied from the way we see it. This is what Bueno (2013) defined in his paper the two important elements that shape human minds: Perception and Conception. We perceive a certain concept not only by ‘seeing’ but also by ‘thinking’. In this paper, “Colour Terms”, as linguistic signs, will be used to explore the significance of different categorization of colour terms by different cultural groups. By working out the result through experiments, we can easily understand how the language use shape the way we think.
