The aim of the current study was attempt to use secondary data to examine the crime trend, the crime pattern, and also the correlation between social change and crime in the recent 14 years of Macau through the methods of descriptive analysis and Pearson correlation. The result found that the change of overall crime rate is small in the last 14 years. The unemployment rate has negative significance for the overall crime rate. The amount of non-local work has a positive significance for the overall crime rate. However, other factors, such as wealth change factor and economic factor do not have obvious significance for the overall crime. We suggest that the government needs to pay more attention to the other institutions not only focusing on economic development by supporting and cooperating with schools and non-government organizations in the community.
