English Abstract

Although international regime is an important mediator for facilitating international cooperation for problem solving in issue-areas, state doesn't always comply with regime. Yet, contemporary international theory shows their careless and parsimony explanation the reason on state's non-compliance. This paper attempts to address the question of how power, interest and value affect state's non-compliance by exploring three major international theories of realism, neoliberalism and constructivism. Starting with a review of three major theories, this paper will investigate the main problems of cooperation and role of regime in each theory, and then discuss about the relationship between power, interest, value and regimes and how they affect state's non-compliance, finally my arguments will be exam by three cases of DPRK in international nuclear non-proliferation regimes US in Kyodo Protocol and China in international human rights regimes. Power, interest and value are the main reasons accounting for state's non-compliance with international regimes
