Title

RFID-aided manufacturing training system and positioning

English Abstract

Implicit knowledge is the kind of knowledge that is difficult to transfer to another person by means of writing it down or verbalizing it, the transformation between implicit knowledge and explicit knowledge is the vital work for the knowledge management. In manufacturing, many operating skills which are implicit knowledge are transferred to the junior operators by senior operators. Unfortunately, the traditional training system is inefficient and incomplete, a new professional training system is necessary. RFID technology is used to support the professional training system, for the purpose of achieving the knowledge management automatically and efficiently. In this study, the professional training system was written, and the functions of RFID were discussed. Indoor positioning is a vital function that can be utilized to many aspects, no matter for searching, management, supervision or automation. A lot of algorithms or schemes were proposed to be used in the RFID-based positioning system, but most of them are lack of environmental consideration and it induces inaccuracy of application. Thus, ―Noise Factor‖ was involved to describe the signal loss between the target and the obstacle, and a new RFID-based indoor positioning system which noise factors and positioning rules were added to enhance the accuracy, even to the coordinate positioning level was established. As a result, experimental data can be obtained but not only simulation; the performance of the system can be expressed more substantial.
