以田野研究法探討住宿式書院的內地來澳大學新鮮人之生活適應

English Abstract

This is a field study investigating the adjustments of Mainland Chinese university freshmen staying at residential college made to life in Macau. In order to collect useful and reliable data, this research applied participant observation in one of the residential college in University of Macao during four months. Also, semi-structure interviews were implemented on four of the freshmen living there at the beginning and the end of the first semester. Results of the study showed that Mainland Chinese freshmen encourtered stronger shock from the “changing roles” during the first few weeks after arriving Macao and felt “educational shock” because of the change of the learning styles between high school and university as well as different educational environment between Macao and Mainland. Moreover, although the freshmen appreciated some cultivation of Macao people, they still confronted some “cultural shock”, such as differences in eating habbit, language barrier and divergence of teenagers’ popular culture. The above situations, especially the language barrier, not only made Mainland Chinese freshmen and Macao local students separated from each other, but also made the freshmen felt nonchalance from Macao citizens. Lastly, this phenomenon emerged the idiosycracy between cultures of Mainland and Macao.

本研究採用田野研究的方法,以四位入住澳門大學其中一所住宿式書院的內 地來澳大學新鮮人為研究伙伴,探討住宿式書院的內地來澳大學新鮮人之生活適 應,以了解其在澳生活期間的體驗及遇到的問題。本研究透過於住宿式書院內進 行之為期四個月的參與觀察及與研究伙伴進行的兩輪半結構式訪談,發現四位內 地來澳大學新鮮人在來澳初期陎對較強烈的角色震盪,於學期之中亦遇上教育震 盪。另外,研究發現四位內地來澳大學新鮮人對澳門的人文素養甚為欣賞,然而, 在澳生活期間他們遇上了一些文化震盪,例如對飲食文化的不習慣、語言不通及 與澳門學生的流行文化不一等。上述情形導致研究伙伴與澳門學生格格不入,亦 因溝通受阻而遭受澳門居术的冷待,使其選擇與澳門學生以至整個社會保持「分 離」的關係,當中,語言不通為研究伙伴心目中阻礙其融入澳門的最大因素。此 現象凸顯了澳門與內地雖然同樣傳承中華文化風俗,但彼此文化中存在一定的異 質性。
