This study is aimed to investigate teachers’ participation in administrative decision making and job satisfaction in Macao and estimate the relationship between them. Applying the “nine policy areas” proposed by Duke, Showers & Imber (1980) and the 30-item questionnaire of Ms. HUI Sin-Chun Maria (1991), the depth of teachers’ current and anticipated participations were measured. Regarding teachers’ job satisfaction, four items from Herzberg’s Two Factor Theory (1966) as well as Lester’s “Teachers’ Job Satisfaction Questionnaire (TJSQ)” were adopted to measure teachers’ job satisfaction. The result of the study suggests there is little chance for Macao teachers to take part in administrative decisions while a higher participation is actually expected by teachers. The overall working satisfaction is 'unsure'. The correlation between Macao teachers’ participation in administrative decision and working satisfaction in administrative supervision and work itself is mostly 'positive' but largely 'negative' in interpersonal relationship and job responsibility.
