澳門與台北高中學生休閒運動經歷與發展比較研究

English Abstract

Although there is an urge of local government, schools and educational institution to develop the active lifestyle of students through sports, there are records of drop of participation among high school students in sports activities. The reason may relate to the high pressure from acadmic burden on students today. The intense competition to enter university serves as another side effect in reducing the desire to have active lifestyle development. High school students are the social asset and their health and wellness conditions tunrs to be the social concern. Studies indicated that sport participation helps to reduce student's stress in acadmic study but also improve the body and mind development. Thus, to provide holistic education for cognitive, social and physical development through sport activities and a balanced development on knowledge and opportunities for exercise seems to be equally important. To cater the needs, the provision of after school programs and encouragement to attend leisure activities are the many strategies used in schools. In this research, the sport behavior of high school students from Macau and Taipei are compared. The purpose of this study was to understand the influences of school sports policy and development of exercise behaviour in high school students. It assumed that there were relationship between opportunities for sport learning and establishment of regular exercises behaviour in sport activities. Students exhibited with regular exercise habits at childhood would have higher chance to develop regular exercises behavior at the age of senior high. A total of 478 high school students (208 students in Macao and 278 students in Taipei) coming from 3 high schools in Macao and 2 high schools in Taipei were invited to a questionaire survey. The result showed that more high school students in Taipei participated in after-school sports than students in Macao. When the high school students are compared with their exercise behaviour, significant differences were found between their childhood experiences in sport activities. The study indicated a high percentage of senior school students in Taipei began their early sport intervention at elementary school. There were about 60% high school students in Taipei participate in sport activities and a 40% of high school students in Macao that had similar sport exercises behavior. The study concluded the fact that opportunities for learning of sport at very young age would have influence to the development of sport behavior when students were at the high school level. The sooner they start the early sport engagement, the more will have cheances to develop regular exercise habits. The opportunities for sport learning are influenced by school policies in physical education. This study also indicated the importance to have suitable policy for school to encourage students in sport participation at the young age.

Chinese Abstract

雖然很多地區的政府、學校等教育機構正努力推行體育運動的發展,但高 中學生在參與運動方面,反而有減少的情況出現,主要的原因可能是因為現今 的高中學生課業負擔壓力沉重,他們要為考上理想的大學努力奮鬥,這可能成 為他們不參與運動行為的阻礙因素之一。高中學生作為社會的重要資產,而他 們的健康狀況應受到社會關注,研究指出參與運動不但能夠減低學生的課業壓 力,亦有助改善身、心發展。學校教育能夠通過運動發展社交及體能,因此, 學生不但要有良好的知識,建立良好的運動習慣同樣重要。學校是培養學生養 成良好運動習慣的地方,在課後時間中提供及鼓勵學生參加休閒活動是多數學 校所採用的體育政策。因此,學校體育政策對學生發展養成良好的運動習慣具 有重要的影響。本研究以澳門與台北地區高中學生運動行為與成長經歷作比 較,目的是了解兩地區的學校體育政策與高中學生的運動參與行為和運動經歷 與發展是相互影響。假定高中學生運動行為取向與成長經歷有關,學生自幼建 立運動行為模式對他們在高年級時建立良好的運動習慣起著重要作用。本研究 的對象為澳門 3 所中學及台北 2 所高級中學,合共 487 名高中學生進行問卷調 查。當中澳門地區學生佔 208 名,台北地區學生佔 278 名。研究結果顯示台北 地區比澳門地區的高中學生積極參與課後運動,高中學生運動行為模式與自幼 參與運動具有顯著性差異。研究顯示受訪學生中,台北地區高中學生從小學階 段就開始有參與運動經驗,到高中階段繼續參與運動的學生有 60%,而澳門地 區的學生只佔 40%。從研究發現,運動行為模式會受成長經歷所影響,越早開 始此模式,越多學生會有良好運動習慣。而學習運動的機會是受學校體育政策 的影響,研究亦指出學校若能制定良好的體育政策,會有助學生自幼建立運動 參與行為模式。 關鍵字:休閒運動、運動參與行為、運動經歷與發展
