English Abstract

Participating Sports interest class, which means to do physical exercise and to develop students’ interests after school, is an indispensable path in nurturing whole-person education. As the talent students who persist physical exercise have the possibility to be athletes, Sports interest class becomes a crucial power in reserving back-up sports talents. The purpose of this study are to investigate the relationships between sports intention and autonomy, goal orientation, and volition,and also to explore the prediction for sports intention in Macao primary and secondary students in participating Sports interest classes. There were two stages in this study. Stage one, which collected 187 valid questionnaires in three schools, is the preliminary investigation to construct a formal version questionnaire by factor analysis. In Stage two, 678 valid questionnaires were obtained from all the Sports interest classes in eight selected schools. The main findings are that, 1) The students who are male, senior school students, exercise more than three hours each week, training history in one to two years, school team members or above are higher scores in sport persisting intention, autonomy, goal orientation and volition than their peers with the opposite characters. 2) When controlled for gender and exercise time each week, task orientation, autonomy and consciousness of volition can predict sports persisting intention whereas task orientation has the strongest prediction power. 3) Grade is the only background variable and when controlled it, consciousness, tolerance, decisiveness, autonomy, task orientation and ego orientation can predict sports dropout intention. The highest prediction power is consciousness. 4) For sports persisting intention and dropout intention, autonomy has different mediation effects on goal orientation and volition in the students of sports interest classes. Partial mediation can be found between sports persisting intention and goal orientation and volition. It suggests that it is important to enhance the students’ self-concepts to participate physical exercise, and good consciousness is the vital support to avoid sports drop-out from sports interest classes.

Chinese Abstract

體育運動的興趣班是學生課外參與鍛煉、發展興趣的體育實踐活動,是培養全 人發展的不可缺少的途徑,同時體育運動興趣班也是本地體育後備人才不可或缺的 力量,有毅力堅持的、有潛質的學生逐漸會由興趣轉為志向。本研究旨在探討澳門 中小學體育運動興趣班學生的運動意圖與自主性、目標定向、意志力之間的關係, 確定自主性、目標定向以及意志力是否能預測體育興趣班學生的運動意圖。研究分 爲預測及正式測驗兩個階段,預測階段選取 3 間學校的體育活動興趣班發放問卷, 回收有效問卷 187 份,經因素分析建構出正式測量問卷。正式測量時,選取 8 間學 校的體育活動興趣班派發問卷,回收有效問卷 678 份。結果發現:(一)、男性、高中 生、週訓練時間高於 3 小時者、參加訓練 1 – 2 年者、學校代表隊及學界/澳門代表 隊學生,比女性、初中生、週訓練時間少於 3 小時者、參加訓練 1 年內、非學校代 表隊及以上者,趨向於高運動堅持意圖、高自主性、高任務定向、高自我定向及高 意志力。(二)、週訓練時間及性別影響運動堅持意圖,在控制了此兩個變量後,任務 定向、自主性和意志力之自覺性可正向預測體育運動的參與意圖,其中以任務定向 預測效力最高;(三)、年級是影響運動退出意圖的唯一背景變量,在控制了年級變 量後,自覺性、忍耐性、果斷性、自主性、自我定向、任務定向均能夠在對運動退 出意圖的預測中做出增值貢獻,以自覺性預測效力最高。(四) 自主性在意志力、目 標定向與運動堅持意圖之間起中介作用,在意志力、目標定向與運動退出意圖之間 無中介作用,提示澳門體育興趣班學生運動堅持的主要工作是創設有利於學生參與 體育運動的自主性提高的環境,而個體具備良好的自覺性是減少興趣班運動退出的 重要保證。 關鍵詞:體育運動興趣班、運動意圖、自主性、目標定向、意志力
