Based on the book “The Personality and Literary Style of Si-ma Qian” by Mr. Li Zhang-zhi, this paper aims at discussing the spiritual link and academic heritage between Confucius, Si-ma Qian, as well as Mr. Li Zhang-zhi. Analysis on the sequence of ideas in “The Spring & Autumn Annals”, “Historical Records”, and “The Personality and Literary Style of Si-ma Qian” is given by the author, who subsequently put forward his research objectives and ideas. This paper is divided into three parts: 1. Introduction: Presents the motive to study “The Personality and Literary Style of Si-ma Qian”. It briefly describes the era and background when writing the book as well as Mr. Li Zhang-zhi’s ideological background. 2. Main body: Biographical sketch of the three scholars so as to enable others to better understand their spirit and academic background, it proceeds to prove the spiritual link and academic heritage of Confucius, Si-ma Qian and Mr. Li Zhang-zhi from the initial causes, life-long impact and academic heritage. 3. Conclusion: Sums up the arguments in the context and integrates the paper. Develops a thorough proof of Confucius, Si-ma Qian and Mr. Li Zhang-zhi, in addition, reaffirms the role to study “The Personality and Literary Style of Si-ma Qian” in relation to the spiritual link of the three scholars.

本論文以李長之先生的《司馬遷之人格與風格》一文爲例，論及孔子與司馬遷以至李長之先生三者之間的精神連繫以及學術上的承傳。以《春秋》《史記》《司馬遷之人格與風格》三者爲脈絡，對他們三者進行分析。從而闡述筆者的研究目的，提出自己的見解和研究。 本文主要分三大部分： 一、前言：提出研究《司馬遷之人格與風格》的動機，以及簡述《司馬遷之人格與風格》一文的寫作時代及背景，以及李長之先生的思想背景。 二、主體：分別簡述他們三者的生平，借此使他人更了解三者的精神和學術，進而從起始成因、終身影響、薪火相傳三點論證孔子、司馬遷和李長之 先生三者的精神連繫和學術的承傳。 三、總結：綜合前文的論點，整合全文。對孔子、 司馬遷和李長之先生作出一個全面的論證，以及重申提出研究《司馬遷之人格與風格》對他們三者的精神連繫的作用。
