English Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of exercise consultations and nutrition education after school on physical activity, nutrition, fitness, and exercise behavior over 12 week intervention among school students. 24 volunteer students from 2 classes of the 7th grade in a secondary school were selected and randomly assigned as the experimental (N=13) and control (N=11) groups. These two groups were basically made up of similar age and gender. A two-group (intervention and control) pilot test was used. The interventions consisted of sending emails, phone calls, mobile phone messages and interviews about 12 weekly exercise consultations of recommending more exercise and having an active living approach to life after school. Students in the control group had similar conditions of study and PE lessons with offering the interventions; whereas students in the experimental group were excluded of the intervention. The study intended to test the student's physical fitness parameters, 24 dietary recalls and physical activity record within three days through questionnaires of exercise behavior and interventions. General linear model with repeated measures, Independent T-test and Chi-Square were utilized to compare the differences. After 12 week intervention of exercise consultation and nutrition, it can be concluded of the following: 1. Push-ups, flexibility and endurance run had time effect but not intervention effect, while grip strength, sit-ups, skin-fold thickness(tricep+ calf) and ratio of waist to hip had no time and intervention effects. 2. There was time effect in the consumptions of protein percentage, fat percentage and sugar percentage; however, no time and intervention effects were found in physical activity. 3. Positive changes were found in attitude towards physical activity outside the school, but the changes were transient. 4. The students perceived the fact that it is important to do exercise consultation and nutrition education. The results suggest that exercise consultation and nutrition education should be promoted in middle schools. By these means, the students could be aware of the knowledge of physical activity and increase the possibility to do exercise spontaneously, Finally, the aims of increasing more physical activity, improving physical fitness and setting up healthy lifestyles among junior students could be reached. Chinese Abstract

本研究旨在探討運動咨詢輔助以營養教育對初中學生體適能、身體能活動量、營養狀況和運動行爲的影響。本研究屬組內組間設計。來源於同一學校的24名初中學生,自願參與本研究,將被試隨機分爲控制組(13人)和對照組(11人),兩組年齡、性別分佈無顯著差異。控制組施以爲期十二週的運動咨詢輔助以營養教育,探用手段包括互聯網發電郵、固網電話、手機短訊以及與學生面談,對照組與控制組之學習安排、體育課等條件完全一致,唯無運動咨詢及營養教育干預。 測試內容包括體適能測試、三日24小時回顧營養問卷、三日24小時身體活動記錄以及運動行爲和干預效果問卷調查。數理統計方法爲重複樣本的方差分析、獨立樣本t檢驗以及卡方檢驗。研究結果顯示十二週的運動咨詢輔助以營養教育後: 1.俯臥挺身、柔軟度、耐力跑出現時限主效應,但無時限與分組的交互效應,而 手握力、仰臥起坐、皮下脂肪厚度、腰臀比未出現時限變化和干預的變化。2.問 卷調査所測量的營養攝入蛋白質%、脂肪%和食糖%有時限主效應,無時限與分組 的交互效應,體能活動則無時限與分組的主效應和交互效應。3.學生對待課外體 育活動的態度有所改變,但是尙不鞏固。4.運動咨詢輔助以營養教育活動,得到 學生一定程度的認可。研究結果提示,今後應該在學校推廣類似活動,通過運動 咨詢提升學生對體育運動的認知,促進學生自發參與運動,達致促進初中學生運 動行爲,提升體適能,並形成良好的生活方式。 關鍵詞:運動咨詢、營養教育、體適能、體能活動
