Title

Transition of source code from C to Java using YACC

English Abstract

Due to its portability to different hardware platforms Java programming language gains more and more significance. An important reason for the fast distribution is its usage as development platform for applications that are integrated into Web pages. The growing demand for Java applications forces programmers to implement standard algorithms and data structures for universal use. The developers of Java have followed the C/C++ language definition closely. Therefore a translation of existing C/C++ source code and libraries into Java could be helpful. An automatic translator can reduce this time dramatically. This paper introduces possible translations for different basic elements of the C language.
