This paper through to Shen Congwen's literary works and behaviors before 1949, to capture his dynamic changes of thought, try to analyze the change of Shen's specific concepts about literary creation, and the construction of the spiritual world before the founding of the People's Republic of China. We hope to discuss the detail about internal reason why Shen gave up his literary creation and followed the path of cultural research. In order to explore the reasons affecting Shen's career change from other aspects more than politics, and solve the mystery of Shen Congwen. The full text is divided into four parts. The first part is an introduction, Based on Shen Congwen's existing research, taking the mystery of' Shen's career transition as a starting point, to clarify the origin of the topic and the academic problems that this paper is committed to solving. The second part, "Riddle" chapter, firstly describes the occurrence of the rupture, including the time node, the rupture performance, the comparison between before and after. We try to focus on the mystery of Shen Congwen, combine the academic discussion to trace back and restore the sense of historical scene. The third part, "Breakthrough" chapter, through research on the facts of Shen Congwen's literary works, friendship and career development, tries to points out the occurrence of Shen's rupture is accelerated by political factors, but the real decisive driving reason is his inner choice. We will take two different dislocations as the entry point, namely the "dislocation of the time" and "dislocation of the identity" . Dislocation of the time is established by the stage of Shen's literary creation, to solve "why Shen Congwen break in 1947, earlier than the founding of the People's Republic of China", which had already of doubt, combing and analyzing the clues that existed in the literary works of different periods, restoring the many attempts of Shen to practice the rupture, to discover the secret of the spirit world and complicated journey. As for dislocation of the identity, we found that Shen Congwen changed his perception of identity in his middle-aged period, clearly and complexity, He changed from a peasant to a gentleman scholar. In order to adapt to the change of the politics and the social status, Shen Congwen did pay much, it's mainly reflected in self-transformation and self-improvement, The above two dislocations played a crucial and decisive role in this rupture, helped to solve the mystery of Shen Congwen. The fourth part, "The answer to the Riddle" chapter, concludes that the occurrence of Shen Congwen's mystery is a predestinate rupture and the continuation of self-knowledge. External pressure such as political changes and historical processes only makes Shen's internal drive manifest earlier, but changing his career is a predestinate thing to happen. Hope this paper can provide some new perspectives and supplement some new viewpoints for solving "the mystery of Shen Congwen", and if it can correct some decisive and direct wrong cognition, it will be better. 本文通過對沈從文在 1949 年之前的文學作品、行為表現的考察，捕捉其動態的思想變化，試圖分析建國前沈從文具體文學創作觀念的轉變、精神世界的構建，從内在層面詳細論述沈從文放棄文學創作、走上文物研究道路的具體原因，力圖從政治因素之外的其他角度探究沈從文轉業的影響因素，解答沈從文之謎。 全文共分為四個部分。 第一部分是緒論，基於沈從文現有相關研究，以沈從文轉業之謎為抓手，明確選題緣起和本文致力於解決的學術問題。 第二部分“謎面”章，首先對“沈從文轉業之謎”這一斷裂的發生進行具體描繪，包括時間節點、斷裂表現、前後對照等内容。筆者試圖聚焦沈從文之謎，結合學界討論進行較有歷史現場感的回溯與還原。 第三部分“謎目”章，通過對沈從文文學作品、交友與職業發展等事實的進一步研究，著力挖掘沈從文之謎發生的必然性，指出沈從文之斷裂的發生是經由政治因素加速顯化的，真正的決定性推動因素卻是他的內在選擇。筆者以兩種不同的錯位作為切入點，分別是“時間的錯位”與“身份認同的錯位”：時間的錯位藉由沈從文文學創作分期的確立，解決“為何沈從文早於新中國成立前，即 1947 年就已發生斷裂”之疑問，梳理分析不同時期文本中草蛇灰線般存在的文字線索，還原沈從文就斷裂一事所踐行的諸多嘗試，探索其隱密的精神世界和複雜的心路歷程；身份認同的錯位則是中年時期的沈從文對其自我身份的認知發生了明確又複雜的轉變——從鄉下人轉變為紳士學者，為適應政治立場、社會地位的變化，沈從文確實付出了一定的代價以獲取他人的認可與公眾的理解，在自我改造和自我修養這兩個方面得到了具體體現。以上兩個錯位對這場斷裂起到了關鍵的決定性作用，作為關鍵謎目，有助於破解沈從文之謎。 第四部分“謎底”章，總結了沈從文之謎的發生是一場注定的斷裂與自知的延續，政治變動、歷史進程等外部施加壓力只是讓沈從文的內在驅動更早顯化而已，但轉業本質上是一件注定會發生的事情。 希望本文能夠為解決“沈從文之謎”提供一些新的視角、補充一些新的觀點，若能糾正一些果斷直接的錯誤認知，便更好了。 關鍵詞：沈從文；沈從文轉業之謎；紳士；斷裂；自我延續
