Abstract
With the rapid development of do-it-yourself itinerary, an increasing number of tourists expect to go deep into residential community, taste indigenous food and understand local culture, which is regarded as a necessary experience in their tour. Tea restaurant for a long time is the traditional and daily dining place for merely local residents in Macao. They are one of the most typical places that display authentic dining culture, local customs and residential lifestyles. However, studies in this fiel are too limited. This research is endeavored to explore tourists' perceptions on tea restaurant and disclose its relationship with community based tourism and tourist destination image. We surveyed 403 tourists and used EFA and SEM to explore the relationship between variables. Findings disclose multiple predictors of restaurant performance for tourism satisfaction and further prove the importance of bettering authentic dining places on improving tourism quality as well as the destination image.
