Abstract
Abstract : In an era characyerized by the so-called "knowledge economy", human capital is becoming increasingly important; furthermore, the knowledge and expertise of employees have become an asset of crucial importance to an enterprise and are key to its competitive advantage. Pfizer's approach to training is determined by Pfizer's corporate values, which has prompted Pfizer to implement a comprehensive yet flexible training program designed for the requirements of individual employees and based on proven training methodologies. Additionally, Pfizer provides a fully transparent plan of career development for each employee, providing details on how an employee can be promoted and what is expected of him or her after their promotion. This can make training an incentive in itself. The whole training program is undergoing careful monitoring while an ongoing feedback system is being designed for both supervisors and subordinates.
