Abstract
Abstract : There was opinion that inadequate effort and empirical studies were directed toward the understanding of human resource deployment in mainland China (Redding, 1986). The fact that the mainland provides a seemingly inexhaustible supply of low-cost manpower lured many cost-conscious foreign enterprises to enter China through and array of foreign direct investment options. For business and bigger reasons, it is imperative to go beyond the interpretation of China's human resources as merely numerical significance that reflects positively on financial statements. This study reveals the humanity of the Chinese workers- their work attitudes and aspirations for growth and development, in the backdrop of economic reforms. Paragraph Headings: 1.
