Abstract
Abstract : This research investigates the relationship between perceived ethical climate, whistleblowing, and ethical leadership. The "supervisor-subordinate" questionaires were randomly distributed to 21 companies in Guangdong Province, among which 40 valid supervisor-questionaires and 331 valid subordinate-questionaires (73.56% response rate) were received. The statistical results supported the hypotheses that (1) perceived other- focused climate and perceived self-focused climate were positively related to internal whistleblowing and non -action respectively, and (2) ethical leadership moderated the relationship between perceived other-focused climate and internal whistleblowing, but does not moderated the relationship between perceived self-focused climate and non-action. For the former case, the influence of perceived other- focused climate on internal whistleblowing was stronger when ethical leadership was stronger. The major findings, theoretical contributions, practical implications, and the limitations were discussed. Paragraph Headings: 1. Theoretical background and hypotheses 1.1.
