- Object: Thermal injury is a common cause of serious injury in children. To review the management of thermal injury in children in PICU. Methods : A retrospective review of records of children admitted into paediatric in tensive care unit for thermal injury in Kwong Wah Hospital from 7/96 to 12/99. Resultsl Eight children were identified and all but one suffered from scald. Initial management of children with thermal injury was discussed. Conclusion : Scald is the commonest severe thermal injury in this department. A multi-disciplinary approach is required. Paragraph Headings： 1. Introduction 2. Kwong Wah Hospital Data 3.
