- Abstract
- Abstract : Leigh's Syndrome is a rare inherited neurometabolic disorder characterized by degeneration of the central nervous system. Anesthesia has been reported to aggravate respiratory symptoms and frequently precipitate respiratory failure when these patients are submitted. The anesthetic approach to these patients when they need interventions, surgical or other is discussed. A case of Anesthesia of a Leigh's Syndrome patient is described.
