Abstract
Abstract : This literature-review aims to review the principles of medical nutritiontherapy (MNT) in controlling type 2 diabetes. The recommendations about general food group changes will be outlined. It is based on updated reviews and studies from several nutrition journals and books. MNT is essential in controlling diabetes, however, no one diet can be recommended for everyone with diabetes and should be tailored individually. Nutrition interventions including the nutritional prescription and educational tools should be based on a thorough assessment of each person's usual and customary intake and nutritional status. Interventions are ongoing throughout the lifespan and should be outcome driven. MNT in term of life style modification is the most important to turn the persons toward a healthy life style which is beneficial for their whole life. Paragraph Headings: 1. Introduction 2.
