Abstract
Abstract : Although it is a kind of apolipoprotein, apolipoprotein E is rich in the nervous system and has the ability to format and repair cell membrane. Apolipoprotein E in neurons mainly comes from glial cells. In the nervous system, lipid transport is related to LDL receptors, LRP receptors and VLDL receptors. Later papers show that cholesterol-efflux regulatory proteins play a role in lipid transport, however, especially in neurons, their functions are not explained. This article summarizes the function of applipoprotein E and relative receptors in the nervous system. Paragraph Headings: 1. Introduction 2. The distribution of Apolipoprotein E 3. The re-distribution of apo E and the lipid in the cell membrane of neurons 4. The receptors on the neurons membrane and lipid transport 4.1. LDL- R 4.2. LRP-R 4.3. VLDL-R 4.4. Cholesterol effusion regulating protein (CERP) 5. Conclusion
