Abstract
Abstract : The response of the cardiovacular system to regular exercise is an increase in its capacity to deliver oxygen to the active muscle, which also improves its capacity to use oxygen in order to improve work performance. The authors present in this work a general review about the various adaptive mechanisms the cardiovascular system use to improve work performance, the understanding of which is essential for using regular exercise as a therapeutic option and also a means for health promotion.
